About Me

I began my Yoga training as a daily part of my Bachelor of Arts in Dance at the University of Adelaide, with senior lecturer and head of the Dance Department and now prominent Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher at Adelaide Ashtanga Yoga Shala, David Roche.

David taught Iyengar based yoga, with a strong focus on anatomical alignment and attention to the smallest details. As a former dancer himself, he would incorporate the principles of movement, biomechanics and the premise that all movement comes from the base of the spine, into his Yoga teachings.

This early and detailed training laid the foundation for my continued love and practice of Yoga.

I became a professional dancer, and during that time was asked to lead Yoga classes for the company members to increase flexibility and strength while reducing the risk of injury.

Once I stopped dancing, I continued to teach to a small group of the general public before joining a local yoga centre in early 2007. I currently teach classes from Beginners to Intermediate. My classes include some of the many other influences in my life, most notably the teachings of Master Teacher, Nicky Knoff of the Knoff Yoga School.
